Edinburgh zoo!

Hey sweeties!

All the way back in January, me and the boy went to Edinburgh for the day with one main intention.
To visit the zoo!!
I can't believe it's taken me this long to share these amazing photographs.

We got booked our tickets a week before hand through Red Spotted Hanky, with only in a week to go I was amazed that it was only £40 each return.
With what felt like the quickest journey, we arrived at Waverly Place to meet our connection to Edinburgh Haymarket as it was the closest to the zoo. From there we got on a bus which took about 10 minutes.
When we got there the weather was quite dull and a bit rainy so no surprise the zoo was quite empty.

Edinburgh zoo is more than amazing!
The fact that there was hardly anyone there meant we could just stand and take photos for a few minutes without people in our way and shoving us to move along. By the end of our visit to the zoo I was on the verge of selling everything I had to buy a zoo and to be honest even if I did I still wouldn't have enough but knowing that the zoo is only a few hours away will do for.

Photography for me is a hobby and I wouldn't say that I'm David Bailey or anything but I am rather proud of stills I captured.
All photos were taken on my Panasonic TZ35.

This is Yang Guang, unfortunately we never saw Tian Tian.

Afterwards, we headed back into town having a browse in the many shops on Princes Street.
Whilst stopping over for a buger, which unfortunately I can't remember the name of :(

I love Edinburgh just wish we had more time to explore, hopefully is there is a next time it'll be for the weekend and not just the day.

Have you been? and What is your favourite thing to do there?

Much love,
M! xo

Zip the Tyne!

Hey Sweeties!

What are they doing up there!?
JUMPING OFF!

Well,
Saturday just gone was completely amazing.
A few months ago my cousin signed up to zipwire across the river Tyne, starting from The Baltic roof across the river. I've always wanted to do something like this so I looked at the website and seen you had to pay the entrance fee of £15 then raise a minimum of £100. Through out the next few weekends and months many people will be zip-wiring across the Tyne for different charities. I raised for The Stroke Association as my other grandad (not last past) died of a stroke and his anniversary was a few days before mine.

Me and my cousin went to registration, handed over our fundraising then headed upstairs to get all the safety gear on when we seen people with their mobile phones and jeans on - which we were told NOT to. I had left my coat and everything with my mam who was at the other side of the river, I was bloody freezing!

Once geared up we headed to the roof! AGRH!
I wanted to go first but the guy who was strapping us in put me last, my cousin was slightly nervous then went off with ease. Then mine turn came. I sat down on the edge of the roof swinging my legs as I just wanted to go, though there was another set of people further up the roof doing it so we alternated. With a little push of the nice safety man I was off so fast! I waved to my family who were there whilst trying to turn myself around which was a TOTAL fail.

Came off the wire, unstrapped everything I was OVER the bloody moon, I wanted do it again!

Joanne and myself.

My little cousin Charley came, 2 years old said "haha it was funny Shelly and JoJo flying" bless her such a bloody cutie!
We got our photographs which were reasonably priced then headed to The Slug and Lettuce, honestly wished I just lived in there.

Definitely recommend doing a zipwire to everyone even, if you're afraid of heights push your boundaries and enjoy something incredible.

Much Love,
M! xo

My Hero II

Hey sweeties!

Wow, it's definitely been a long time since I logged on and there is two main reasons why;
1 - Life has just gotten in the way.
I honestly don't get a single day off and I like it that way. I'm always on the go and not sat doing nothing. I have a two day school placement, whilst attending uni lectures and keeping a 16-24 hour job. Bloody busy!

2 - Lost the blogging mojo.
I started to blog just for blogging sake, nothing meaningful in my posts, to me anyways. There was nothing exciting to blog about, I had no money to buy products and clothes.

Anyways, sometime ago I posted about my hero, being my grandad. Within this post I said I'd be getting a tattoo in his memory. Most of my family members were saying are that's such a lovely thing to do and my mam said 'you'll chicken out', I DID NOT!!

After uni one day me and my friend Leanne wanted something to do since we finished early, any suggestions? Lets get my tattoo! So we drove down told them what I wanted and within half an hour I was inked!
30 minutes done & Now

Now like everyone says after their first I want another one! Which will more than likely be the Eye of Horus the tattoo I wanted done before my grandad passed away.

It feels so good just writing away again with a cuppa and a film on,
what have I missed? How are you?

Much Love,
M! xo
