Little Mix

Hey so I'm two months late posting this, but hey ho!
I seen Little Mix at the Metroradio Arena in Newcastle. I went with a friend of mine and honestly we felt too old to be there, surrounded by children and their mothers, but we had a blast.

Zip the Tyne!

Hey Sweeties!

What are they doing up there!?
JUMPING OFF!

Well,
Saturday just gone was completely amazing.
A few months ago my cousin signed up to zipwire across the river Tyne, starting from The Baltic roof across the river. I've always wanted to do something like this so I looked at the website and seen you had to pay the entrance fee of £15 then raise a minimum of £100. Through out the next few weekends and months many people will be zip-wiring across the Tyne for different charities. I raised for The Stroke Association as my other grandad (not last past) died of a stroke and his anniversary was a few days before mine.

Me and my cousin went to registration, handed over our fundraising then headed upstairs to get all the safety gear on when we seen people with their mobile phones and jeans on - which we were told NOT to. I had left my coat and everything with my mam who was at the other side of the river, I was bloody freezing!

Once geared up we headed to the roof! AGRH!
I wanted to go first but the guy who was strapping us in put me last, my cousin was slightly nervous then went off with ease. Then mine turn came. I sat down on the edge of the roof swinging my legs as I just wanted to go, though there was another set of people further up the roof doing it so we alternated. With a little push of the nice safety man I was off so fast! I waved to my family who were there whilst trying to turn myself around which was a TOTAL fail.

Came off the wire, unstrapped everything I was OVER the bloody moon, I wanted do it again!

Joanne and myself.

My little cousin Charley came, 2 years old said "haha it was funny Shelly and JoJo flying" bless her such a bloody cutie!
We got our photographs which were reasonably priced then headed to The Slug and Lettuce, honestly wished I just lived in there.

Definitely recommend doing a zipwire to everyone even, if you're afraid of heights push your boundaries and enjoy something incredible.

Much Love,
M! xo

Simply delicious!

Hey Sweeties!

You know when you're in an indecisive mood as to choosing the typical Friday night takeaway.
"We'll get an Indians? No, because I want a Chinese." Sound familiar?

This is me and my friends constantly, so is there a solution?

Yes!
 (Well only in Newcastle.)
About a week or so ago, a new restaurant opened called Kingdom.
A buffet style with many dishes from different countries, all under the same roof.
Such fun!!

Countries such as Turkey, China, Spain, France, Vietnam and many more.

I went on Wednesday night with a bunch of people.
We each paid £14.99 for the buffet and our drinks were on top of that.
When in comes to food I'm not that adventourous, I tend to stick to the foods that I've had before not trying anything new.
Unfortunatly, I didn't try anything new as I'm already set in my ways.
Although, the others defiantly enjoyed themselves all having food babies.

When it came to the desserts I was in my element.
Marshmellows, custard, ice cream, chocolate cake, jelly and pancakes.

If unlike me you eat loads at buffets taking full advantage you'll love this place.
The food and staff are both lovely, but personally I won't be going there too often.

If you're ever in Newcastle, I'd recommened this place.

Nom, nom!!

London's Calling!

Hello everyone!
Just a quick update once again I haven't been up to much (I lead such an exciting life, not) and I haven't been shopping for myself as I'm saving up for Leeds Festival (80 Days! Beyond excited!).
Kate (Best friend) has finished her first year of uni and is back home!! We went clubbing in Newcastle on Saturday for our friends birthday. I have to say from the bits I can remember it was a great night! Just 4 girls dancing and drinking, girly nights are always the best. We tried Rev's for the first time, which was a bit of a let down I think its better for lunch and a cocktail date rather than a typical northern Saturday night out. Instead of going home I crashed at Kates had breakfast and watched a few episodes BBC's episodes of Pride & Prejudice. I was so ill, I made a trip to the toilet a few times and visited puke city (not so pleasant). I was trying to remember what I had to drink and where, so I had to look at my hand (Bar stamps) to jog my memory. I was told later on a bodyguard man had asked me to get down from dancing on the chair :|
It's a family trait.

I have an interview on Wednesday to be a Child minder/ Nanny so fingers crossed. If this goes well it'll be another step towards my dream job!

Tonight, my friend has a gig on at a local pub to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. I love how we all come together at times like this.
 Long reign Queen Lizzy!!
I love this man!

I'm in this weeks blog hop where you can join in too. Just click here.

A bientôt, M! xo

Blowout Rodeo.

First of all, there's a song I'd like to share from Neon Trees called Animal which is amazing. Considering its been out for years I can't believe I've just heard it. It's amazing and already on my laptop.

The title of this post is my friends band 'Blowout Rodeo' who Chloe and I seen last night playing at the 02 Academy Newcastle. The band consists of 4 members.
J.V - Guitar & Vocals.
M.L - Guitar & Backing vocals.
J.J - Bass player.
C.M - Drums.

Basically, just WOW. They were amazing, everyone were rocking hard some harder than others :) They played a set of 7 songs, they should've been on longer. My favourites were Jaegerbomb and Trephening.
There were quite a few hot drummers in the building!
You can find out more about the band here
You can also listen to some of their songs here.

A bientôt!

Need water!

Well as I said in my last post I was out clubbing on Saturday night in Newcastle. I got in a 4am, on the way home we got on to the topic of religion, as my friend is half Algerian. So the taxi driver started asking who her family were and asked her about Islam. I love taxi drivers!!
We always start in Sam Jacks then work our way down to City Vaults and we normally end up in Liquid but tonight it was all about Cosy Joes!  It was pretty cheap, downstairs was packed so we went up stairs where there was KARAOKE! The first time I've ever sang live in front of people and I LOVED IT! More to the point we sang Summer Of 69 which is the best.
I said I'd have an outfit post but because we did a lot of pre-drinking we were a bit occupied by filling up the shot glasses! But I have one photo which shows most of what I was wearing.

Red blouse - Peacocks.
White vest - Primark.
Textured tube skirt - Primark.
This is a random women btw, we bonded over our love for the song 'I'm so excited' which we ended up duetting to!

Another unsuccessful night at the quiz, it was on love songs, we had no chance! I'm of to The Slug and Lettuce tonight, with a couple of old friends who I've missed so much. We used to be best friends but since finishing 6th form, we've hardly seen each other. We chose The Slug and Lettuce as Monday is half price night on cocktails and puddings! I may have to wear lose pants. Food baby on the way!

A bientôt!
